The success of the various methods do depend a bit on the complexity of your file though. You'd be effectively recreating it from scratch, and it would be quicker to just open the PSD directly to get them all at once. It is possible to copy/paste individual paths (without any appearance, just the actual path) from Photoshop to Illustrator. Not very good.Īnother option is to use the Export function in Photoshop and export to SVG (the only real vector export option in Ps). Once your layers are selected, right-click one of the selected layers and press Merge Layers or Merge Shapes, depending on the type of layers. In the Link panel, select the data source file and click on Update Link as if it was an image you edited in Photoshop or Illustrator. If you want to merge all layers, including hidden layers, you can choose Flatten Image from the menu instead. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + E (PC) or Cmd + Shift + E (Mac) to merge all visible layers. So it would require a whole lot of fixing in Illustrator or similar afterwards if you need a clean vector file. All visible layers are now merged into one. To change delimited text options, select Show Import Options. Choose Select Data Source from the Data Merge panel menu.

Photoshop can save to PDF (File > Save as.), and Shape Layers will turn into raster fills with clipping paths in the exported PDF. Create or open the document you'll be using as the target document. Delete any unwanted raster layers, and save to a clean EPS/PDF/AI/whateveryouneed. My recommended solution would be to open the PSD in Illustrator (since you didn't use Ai in the first place I assume you don't have it, but you can download a trial!). So we have to find workarounds to do what you need. Photoshop doesn't really save to clean vector formats.
Just be aware that Photoshop is a raster editor.
